Hey there! I am Greg Fossen – I grew up in Minnesota and moved to Colorado in the early 80’s. Jobs: I started out I was a paper boy, restaurant worker, laundry laborer, venetian blind repairman and solar salesmen. Then I decided to git educaeshun. I became an electronic engineer for about 30 years… Now that I do Home Energy Audits, Home Infrared Scans, Blower Door and Safety Testing, Air Sealing and Home Improvement Sales. I get to help homeowners get more comfortable, pay lower bills and save energy!
Q: Top three (3) highlights of my life?
A: Getting married to Sheila Sweeny, having Tyler (now 26), having Kaeli (now 23); The 3 loves of my life…
Q: People would be surprised to know (about me) ______________ .
A: I believe we are all connected. Yes, all 7 billion of us. We all breathe the same air, exchange the same cells, and are connected by our thoughts, intentions and by Universal Truths.
Q: Who has been influential in your life?
A: My parents are my go-to people for my inspiration and faith. Hey raised me to be a peace loving and easy going.
Q: If you could pick one topic (or theme) for AboutSavingHeat.com to turn into a book, what would it be?
A: To document the Energy Savings amassed by all of ASH’s home improvements, in terms of electricity, gas and money saved over 42 years and counting.
Q: What do you feel is the most beneficial energy improvement a homeowner can make?
A: Air sealing! That’s why I do it!
Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be?
A: Infrared vision.
Q: If you could spend half a day with a person from history, who would it be and why?
A: Nelson Mandela. I’d ask him to give Donald Trump a lesson in humility.
Q: What is the weirdest job you have had?
A: Jennifer and I worked on a home that was infested with Fly’s. it was before I had a Blower door system, so I brought a box fan and taped it into a window to suck the air out and we did Box-fan Assisted Air-sealing to keep the fly’s from coming back in.
Q: Where was your last vacation?
A: Out of the country: Puerto Vallarta. Here in the states: California to visit Relatives. Here in Colorado: We go up to our Mountain House in Silverthorne which is in Summit County.
Q: If you could be any animal, which would you be?
A: An Eagle. I’ve always wanted to fly.
